Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the iMusi mobile application ("iMusi", "the app", "we") handles information. We built iMusi to work without accounts and without collecting personal data.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect, store or sell any personal information on our servers. iMusi has no sign-up, no user accounts and no servers of its own that receive your data.
2. Information stored on your device
To personalize the app, the following is saved locally on your iPhone only: the music genres and podcast topics you select, songs you like, podcasts you follow, and your recent searches. This data never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the app. You can clear search history at any time in Settings.
3. Third-party content services
To show and play content, the app connects directly from your device to the following services. These services may receive standard technical information such as your IP address, device type and the content requested, and process it under their own privacy policies:
- YouTube – video listings and the official embedded YouTube player. YouTube may use cookies and show ads. See the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service.
- Audius – free music streaming. Audius Privacy Policy.
- Jamendo – Creative Commons music. Jamendo Privacy Policy.
- Apple Podcasts directory – podcast search and charts. Apple Privacy Policy.
- Podcast publishers – episode audio is streamed directly from each publisher's hosting server.
4. Analytics, advertising and tracking
iMusi contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA).
5. Children's privacy
iMusi is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Third-party content (for example podcasts) is provided by its publishers.
6. Data security and retention
Because we don't collect personal data, we don't retain any. Locally stored preferences are protected by iOS and deleted with the app.
7. Your rights
Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing to access, export or delete on our side. For data held by the third-party services above, please contact them directly.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
